News: Benton police searching for vehicle that struck pedestrian

BENTON, AR – Police say a driver left the scene after striking a pedestrian in Benton last week.

According to KARK, the incident took place Wednesday evening on Alcoa Road near Park Street at about 6:30 p.m.  No details were released on the condition of the pedestrian.

Benton police say they are looking for the vehicle involved, which was described as a dark-colored GMC Sierra.  Police added that the driver may not have been aware of the accident at the time.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked to contact the Benton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
