News: 84-year-old man killed in Monroe Co. rollover crash

MONROE CO., AR – An elderly man was killed early Sunday morning in a rollover crash on AR-1.

According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 84-year-old Hershel L. Garrison was westbound on the freeway near Indian Bay at about 4:40 a.m. when he lost control of his 2020 Chevrolet Sonic.

The Chevrolet then exited the freeway and rolled at least twice before coming to a stop.

Garrison suffered fatal injuries in the crash. It is unclear at this time what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
