News: Driver dies, passenger injured in multi-vehicle accident on Highway 67

RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR – Three vehicles were involved in a fatal collision on Highway 67 early Wednesday morning, according to KAIT.

Arkansas State Police said the driver of a GMC Yukon was headed north at about 12:25 a.m. when she attempted to pass another northbound vehicle, a Freightliner.  The Yukon crashed head-on into a Volvo tractor-trailer that was headed south, then hit the driver’s side of the Freightliner.

The driver of the Yukon, 25-year-old Megan Crawford of Ravenden Springs, was killed in the wreck. A passenger in her vehicle, 30-year-old Shane Owens of Powhatan, was hospitalized.

State troopers said the crash occurred on a wet roadway during foggy weather.
