LAWRENCE CO., AR – A 10-year-old child was killed and four other individuals were sent to the hospital following a major 3-vehicle crash in Lawrence County yesterday.

According to a report by KAIT, the crash took place at about 5:16 p.m along Highway 63.

Investigators believe a Nissan Maxima driven by 36-year-old Matthew Simmons was passing a GMC pickup truck when it struck the front passenger’s side of the pickup.

HOT SPRING CO., AR – A Melvern woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 84 yesterday.

According to a report by Arkansas 911, 30-year-old Jessica Berry was riding a Honda motorcycle east when she crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck.

Both the motorcycle and the pickup skidded off the roadway and caught fire. Berry died after being pinned underneath the truck.

HOT SPRINGS, AR – Emergency crews responded to the scene of an 18-wheeler crash in southwest Hot Springs yesterday.

According to a report by Arkansas 911, the truck crashed into several roadside trees and power poles within the 900 block of Shady Grove Road.

It is unclear if any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash. However, a heavy lift wrecker was called in to remove the truck from the roadway.

FORT SMITH, AR – One person was killed and another suffered injuries resulting from a single-vehicle crash in downtown Fort Smith on Sunday morning.

According to a report by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the crash took place at about 4:10 a.m. within the 1600 block of N. 52nd Street, near the intersection with O Street.

One occupant was killed in the crash, they have since been identified as 20-year-old Anahy Ibarra. A juvenile male suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

MONROE CO., AR – An elderly man was killed early Sunday morning in a rollover crash on AR-1.

According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 84-year-old Hershel L. Garrison was westbound on the freeway near Indian Bay at about 4:40 a.m. when he lost control of his 2020 Chevrolet Sonic.

The Chevrolet then exited the freeway and rolled at least twice before coming to a stop.

LITTLE ROCK, AR –  A truck driver fled the scene after crashing into a barrier on I-30 in north Little Rock this afternoon.

According to a report by Arkansas DoT, the crash took place at about 4 p.m. along the Broadway overpass.

Police say the driver crashed into the join and wall on the bridge before detaching the trailer and fleeing from the scene. No further details on their identity are available at this time.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A truck driver from Dumas was killed in a single-vehilce crash near Little Rock on Monday morning.

According to the Magnolia Reporter, 51-year-old Gregory Bess was traveling north on I-530 when he lost control of his 2001 Peterbilt truck. The truck then veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Bess was pronounced dead at the scene.

PARAGOULD, AR – A multi-vehilce crash involving a semi-truck in Green County took the life of a Missouri man last Friday evening.

According to a report by KAIT, 44-year-old Eric Ward Abernathy, ran the stop sign at Highway 358 and Highway 412 at about 9 p.m.

Ward’s vehilce was struck by a 2001 Peterbilt Truck heading south through the intersection.

CRAIGHEAD CO., AR – A woman suffered fatal injuries in a single-vehilce crash along Highway 18 in Craighead County Sunday morning.

According to KAIT, 55-year-old Karri A. Mangrum was heading east on the freeway when her vehilce crashed off the road into a concrete culvert.

Mangrum was extricated and rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died a short time later.

CONWAY, AR – Two drivers were killed after a major wrong-way crash on I-40 in Faulkner County early Sunday morning.

According to a report by Fox 16, the crash took place at about 1 a.m. as 19-year-old Jose Nelson Us Tiquiram was traveling east in the westbound lanes of the interstate and slammed into an oncoming vehicle. A third vehicle then became involved in the crash.

Both Us Tiquiram and the driver of the other vehicle, 26-year-old Danerryen Spencer, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
