LAKE VILLAGE, AR – Authorities are investigating a collision in Lake Village that killed two people on Thanksgiving morning, according to a report by SEARK Today.

The accident occurred near the intersection of U.S. 65 and U.S. 82 west at about 7:40 a.m.  The Arkansas State Police said 26-year-old Karena M. Everett of Pine Bluff was driving a Hyundai when she failed to yield at a red light.  The Hyundai collided head-on with a northbound Peterbilt truck that was making a left turn with a green arrow onto U.S. 82.

Everett and her passenger, 23-year-old Diamante Estrellas of Little Rock, both sustained fatal injuries.  State police said the roads were wet during rainy weather at the time of the crash.

WHITE COUNTY, AR – Authorities said two vehicles were involved in a fatal collision in White County on Thursday afternoon.

According to KAIT, the incident took place on Highway 36 at about 1 p.m. The Arkansas State Police said 44-year-old April Malone was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Accent going eastbound when she crossed over the center line while trying to negotiate a curve. The Accent collided head-on with a westbound Nissan Pathfinder.

Malone, a Searcy resident, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.  The driver and passenger in the Nissan were hospitalized in Searcy, but no information was released on the severity of their injuries.

MARVELL, AR – Arkansas State Police said a driver died after her car crashed into a truck on Sunday afternoon, the Daily Citizen reports.

The victim was identified as 48-year-old Annie Irene Lowery of Searcy.  She was driving a Hyundai Sonata when she was involved in the accident on U.S. Highway 49 north of Marvell in Phillips County. According to investigators, Lowery was heading south when she veered into the northbound lane and slammed into the front of a 2017 Freightliner.

Lowery sustained fatal injuries in the wreck, while two minors were transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries. No details were released on their conditions.

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR – Authorities say an Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy died in a car accident early Thursday morning, reports White River Now.

According to Arkansas State Police, Deputy Frank Ramirez was on duty while driving his Dodge Charger east on State Highway 14 when the wreck took place at about 12:50 a.m.

Investigators said the 29-year-old Ramirez was navigating a left curve when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed, sustaining fatal injuries.  The roadway was wet at the time from rain, police said.

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR – Arkansas State Police say the driver of a pickup truck died when his vehicle was involved in an accident in Baxter County Sunday morning.

According to KAIT, the crash took place on the U.S. 62 bypass near Buzzard Roost Road in Mountain Home shortly after 4 a.m.

State troopers say 38-year-old Joshua Jones of Gassville was driving a Chevrolet Silverado east when he ran off the road.  The vehicle began to spin, then overturned and ended up in a ditch.  Jones sustained fatal injuries in the wreck.

FORT SMITH, AR – One person was killed and another suffered injuries resulting from a single-vehicle crash in downtown Fort Smith on Sunday morning.

According to a report by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the crash took place at about 4:10 a.m. within the 1600 block of N. 52nd Street, near the intersection with O Street.

One occupant was killed in the crash, they have since been identified as 20-year-old Anahy Ibarra. A juvenile male suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

PARAGOULD, AR – A multi-vehilce crash involving a semi-truck in Green County took the life of a Missouri man last Friday evening.

According to a report by KAIT, 44-year-old Eric Ward Abernathy, ran the stop sign at Highway 358 and Highway 412 at about 9 p.m.

Ward’s vehilce was struck by a 2001 Peterbilt Truck heading south through the intersection.

WASHINGTON CO., AR – A Friday afternoon collision caused delays for motorists in Washington County.

According to a report by the Arkansas DoT, the crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate, near Mile Marker 41.1

SEARCY CO., AR – A major RV crash in Searcy County resulted in serious injuries on Sunday.

According to a report by KLTO, an RV and a passenger vehicle collided head-on along US-65 near Walnut Street.

Searcy County Sheriff’s deputies say multiple people were extricated from the vehicles. At least three helicopters responded to airlift the victims to nearby hospitals.

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR – A collision near the town of Mountain Home last Thursday resulted in a single fatality and multiple injuries.

According to a report by KY 3, 71-year-old Doris Borden collided with another vehicle when it pulled out in front of hers along State Highway 5.

Borden suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
